If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, the controls can be restored by using a web browser other than Internet Explorer and configuring the compatibility mode to be XP Service Pack 2 compatible. Here’s how:
1. Right click the browser desktop icon and select Properties
2. A small window will open up with tabs on the top
3. Click on the Compatibility tab
4. Click 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)'
5. At the bottom of this Compatibility window, click OK/Apply.
